Tabs allow staff, departments and approved external groups to have a tab for retail items.  These can later be paid off, either directly through the till or Finance can charge these directly to a staffs pay or a company’s invoice.

IMPORTANT: Tabs should not be used for tickets.

Tabs can be used to denote table numbers when taking food orders. The table number is printed on the receipt printed by a kitchen printer.

NOTE: Using tabs for tables in this way does technically create for opportunity for tables to pay for their meals after eating.

NOTE: Adding Retail Items on a tab will decrement the stock level of the item, but the retail item will not register as a sale until the tab is settled.

NOTE: It is highly advisable that tabs are opened and settled within the same transaction period.
