Instructions for running the GDPR erase process on a patron record in Oscar.
1. Log into Back Office
2. Navigate to Marketing tab and click on the Patron Database icon on the right hand side.
3. Then, in the Patron Database window, use the 'Filter' option to locate the patron record you wish to GDPR Erase:
4. Highlight the Patron record you wish to GDPR Erase by clicking on the small square at the very start of their record entry:
Their entry should then turn black to indicate it has been highlighted.
6. Once you have highlighted the record you wish to GDPR Erase, click on the GDPR Erase button in the ribbon at the top:
7. Oscar will then ask you to confirm that you really do wish to GDPR Erase this person as this action cannot be reversed:
Click 'Yes' to perform the GDPR Erase.
8. Oscar will then erase the record and you should see the patron entry vanish from the patron database window:
9. To confirm the record has been removed, try finding the patron using the Patron Search and check you cannot locate an entry for them.
