Create and send a targeted marketing email

Select a template

Select Marketing on the left menu, then click Email, Letter Etc.. Click New Email to start a new campaign.


Select the template you wish to use from the dropdown.  Templates can be added via Marketing -> Contact Templates, but it is advisable to contact Savoy Systems to assist in setting these up.

Editable Content

To edit text, simply click an area to highlight it.  Editable areas will have a blue border around them when focused.  NOTE: Not all areas, such as the header, are editable, this will depend on the specific template.

Listing Areas

To add film/events to the different sections of the email, click the Select Films button in the bottom right of the window.

To add a film, start typing the film title, or navigate using the ellipsis.

Film/Event URLs

By default, the links generated will be to the Oscar booking page for the film.  If you wish to override these, you can do so by highlighting the film, and clicking the “Edit URL” button.  Type or paste in the new URL of the film if you want to override the default.

Non-Film/Event Content

It is possible to have non-film/event content placeholders in the template, and that can be added in the template.  If the template has these, then you can add these by selecting the appropriate tab, and typing "Placeholder" in to the search. This will add a generic block, which can be edited in the designer.


Adding Recipients

To add recipients, click the Patrons From List, or Add Single Patron buttons.  To add a list, type the name of the list you wish to use to add all members on the list.

Sending the email

To send a test email, click Send Test Email and type the address you wish to send to.

NOTE: It is highly adivisable to send a test email before sending to the full list.

To send the email to all the recipients, click the Send button.  Progress can be seen via the Patrons tab.
