How to Create a New Price Group and Bulk Assign it to Performances
If you're looking for details on how to do this in Online Back Office, please click here.
In this example we need to create a new Price Group and assign it to a number of pre-existing performances to reflect the fact a temporary drop in the VAT on child tickets has been introduced. To do this we do as follows:
1. Go to Box Office > Price Groups
2. Double click on 'Add New Price Group...'
3. Give the Price Group a title to reflect its purpose and set the prices - in this example we are creating a new Price Group to reflect a temporary drop in the VAT on child tickets so while the other prices remain the same as usual, the price of a Child ticket in this Price Group is cheaper to reflect the VAT reduction:
4. Click OK to save the new Price Group.
5. Open the Day Planner
6. In this example we want to assign this new Price Group to all our currently scheduled performances, so first we change the Day Planner view to be 7 days so we can see as many performances as possible:
7. We then click and drag from the top corner of the Day Planner which brings up the dashed selection box and we drag this over all those performances we wish to update with the new Price Group we created in step 3:
8. When we let go of the mouse button we should see all the performances we included in the dashed selection box are now highlighted with black squares in each corner:
9. Click on the 'Multi Edit' button and select 'Change Price Group...' from the drop down menu:
10. Select our new Price Group and click OK:
11. All the performances will now update to display the fact the Price Group has been updated:
12. Click OK or Refresh in the Day Planner to save the changes.
This process can be repeated for performances in any other weeks which also need updating.
