How to Create a New Price Group and Bulk Assign it to Performances

If you're looking for details on how to do this in Desktop Back Office, please click here.

In this example we need to create a new Price Group and assign it to a number of pre-existing performances to reflect the fact a temporary drop in the VAT on child tickets has been introduced. To do this we do as follows:

1. Go to Box Office > Price Groups

2. Double click on 'Add New Price Group...'

3.  Give the Price Group a title to reflect its purpose and set the prices - in this example we are creating a new Price Group to reflect a temporary drop in the VAT on child tickets so while the other prices remain the same as usual, the price of a Child ticket in this Price Group is cheaper to reflect the VAT reduction:

4. Click Save.

5. Open the Day Planner

6. In this example we want to assign this new Price Group to a number of pre-existing performance so if the Day Planner is not already displaying multiple days, we can adjust the view using the Settings here:

7. We click on the first performance we need to update and then Select More:

8. If you need to select all the performances currently displayed in the Day Planner you can choose Select All:

If we need to select specific performances then we can click on the Select More option instead.

9. Once we have all the performances selected that we need, we click on Multi Edit:

10. We pick our new Price Group and click OK:

11. We then click Save to save our changes and set the new Price Group live against the selected performances.

This process can be repeated for performances in any other weeks which also need updating.
